The Managing Director of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria Engr. Saleh Dunoma has recently assured the international audience at the 57th ACI Africa Board and Committees Meeting and Regional Conference and Exhibition, held from 20 – 26 March 2017 in Livingston, Zambia, that the airport authority is committed to deliver a modern airport services that is based on safety and security and improved passengers experience for its numerous customers.

In his presentation at the open dialogue session of the conference Engr. Saleh has pointed out that the ongoing Abuja airport runway rehabilitation is part of the great plan by Nigerian government for improved safer aviation and sustainable aviation system that is attractive to investors.

The Managing Director of FAAN who is also the current President of ACI Africa seized the conference platform to praise the Federal Government of Nigeria for assenting to this very crucial and aviation safety need irrespective of the economic disruption the closure of the airport is going to cause but reassures that the completion date of 19th April 2017 is very feasible as work is intensified to meet with the set deadline.

In a related earlier discussion between the Chairman of Nigerian Airport Business Summit Group, Mr. Fortune Idu and the Managing Director of The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria Engr. Saleh Dunoma at the ACI Africa Conference, Engr. Saleh has pointed out that Nigerian air transport sector is in dire need of an infrastructural update which presents business opportunities for investors and partners. And that government is open to exploiting credible proposals on partnerships that will uplift the industry and give Nigeria a befitting air transport industry.


Engr. Dunoma also remarked that the new terminal buildings for the four international airports will soon be ready and up running to give Nigeria an increased capacity for passenger processing and facilitation.

At the ACI Africa conference this year FCI International the organizers of Airport Business Summit and the NIGAV award became a World Business Partner to ACI, making it the second private Nigerian Company on the list.
