aside The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) wins most improve passenger facilitation service of the year award

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) ongoing effort to improve clearance procedures for immigrating passengers and Nigeria citizens travelling through Nigeria international airports has been recognized at the recent Nigeria Aviation Award. NIS who was awarded most improve passenger facilitation service of the year award at the event received their plaque of award handed over by the convener of  NIGAV award, Mr Fortune Idu at a recent visit by the representative of the Comptroller General of Immigration,  Mr Nnamdi Dike, Assistant Comptroller of Immigration, MMIA.

The award selection which was made by the Nigerian Aviation (NIGAV) Committee for the 7th edition of the Nigerian Aviation Ministerial Awards and gala dinner has included the assessment of passenger facilitations and the effort made by the industry to improve passenger experience and Nigeria Immigration Service has been found to have improved in her services tremendously of over the past years.

In receiving the ward Mr Nnamdi Dike, while thanking the organizer for the wonderful gesture  and recognizing of NIS efforts, has said  that ‘the award means that Nigeria Immigration Service in all boarder post  land, sea, and air can only do to better standing on this exiting achievement  to meet and surpass the expectations of all’

The service has recently witness a massive redeployment of staff which the Comptroller-General of Immigration, Muhammad Babandede, has been quoted to have said to be line with the posting policy, of the service and a strategic move to leverage on the recent gains achieved in service delivery.
